Suspended ceilings

A suspended ceiling is a secondary ceiling that hangs below the original ceiling. This artificial ceiling is created using a metal grid that supports panels or tiles that can be produced in a whole range of colours, textures and finishes, making them adaptable to your needs.

They are widely used in offices, schools and public and council buildings and demand for them is also increasing amongst home-builders, with modern apartment blocks now featuring them too. EazyFit are Scotland’s specialists in supplying and installing suspended ceilings and would love to work with you to give your office a new look.

Benefits of suspended ceilings

There are many benefits of having a suspended ceiling fitted and many different reasons why people choose them:

Suspended ceilings add a modern and minimalist design touch and can be tailored to your exact requirements to match existing décor or themes.

Suspended ceilings look neat and tidy and can conceal a multitude of wires, cables and ducts that lead to light fittings, power sources and air conditioning units. Whilst hidden under a suspended ceiling they will still be easily accessible if they need to be fixed or replaced, but they will not be on show for all to see.

Improved Acoustics

Suspended ceilings help contain and soften noise, preventing nose pollution between floors. For this reason they are ideal for office environments where professional and sometimes confidential discussions may take place – especially in multilevel offices where different business may operate on each floor.

Bespoke Features

The panels of a suspended ceiling can be made to your requirements, whether they need to be fire retardant, add extra ceiling insulation or to make a room completely soundproof. They can also be made from recycled materials if you wish.

Suspended ceilings are often used to revamp old or dull ceilings or ones that are sloping or not level, which is more often seen in old buildings
